If you enjoyed my photographs and would like to hire me or purchase my prints, please feel free to contact me through this website. My email is stuart( at )stuartrichardson.com, and my cell phone is +354 847-0284. I live in Reykjavík, Iceland.

I am experienced in both traditional and digital processes. I am an admitted gearhead, and I use the best equipment I can find. I primarily use Leica and Nikon for 35mm and digital, a Hasselblad 203FE and Mamiya 7II for medium format and an Ebony SV45Ti for large format. For black and white, I prefer to make fiber prints in a traditional darkroom. It is labor intensive, but the results are worth it.

I operate a custom printing and processing lab in Reykjavík called Custom Photo Lab. I process black and white film up to 4x5" (possibly larger on request) and can make analog prints up to 20x24". To accomplish this, I use an Omega D5XL enlarger, Schneider APO Companon HM lenses, an Ilford Multigrade 500H head, and a Jobo CPP-2 Rotary processor. I also do hand processing on request. I occasionally process E-6 and C-41 on request.

For color and digital prints, I use a Hasselblad X5 scanner and an Epson 9900 wide format inkjet printer. This combination provides superb quality up to 44" inch wide prints (1.1m). I operate in a color managed workflow with an Eizo Color Edge monitor and an Xrite spectrophotometer. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or special requests.
